Business schools play a critical role in the economic growth of an advanced society, by educating current and future business leaders, and contributing new ideas to resolve business issues. The CFBSD works to advance management education excellence in Canada and strengthen our influence around the world. We speak with a common message, advocating for support that will benefit business students today and in the future, and promoting the kind of rigorous, valuable research that will help businesses succeed in Canada and internationally.
CFBSD was founded in 1976 as a forum for Canadian business school deans and directors to work together on common goals. The Federation serves several purposes:
-
A repository of industry data to aid member schools in benchmarking their activities and planning for the future
-
An advocate of business education in Canada, to federal and provincial governments, the business community, and international organizations
-
A gateway to the world for Canadian business schools to meet international counterparts, helping them establish partnerships, student exchanges, and other global initiatives
