Accounting
Mandate
Given the growth in accounting programs at Canadian universities and the scarcity of accounting faculty, a working group has been established to address this shortage while considering:
- AACSB accreditation requirements
- The high cost of hiring academically qualified accounting faculty
- Possible salary inversion
- The shortage of PhD graduates in Canada and the US
- The appeal of an academic career to professional accountants

This working group is composed of four members from member institutions with accounting programs and representing different regions of Canada, and the CFBSD Executive Director.
