The University of New Brunswick (UNB) in Fredericton seeks a dynamic new leader for its Faculty of Business Administration.� Building on a solid foundation, UNB offers the opportunity for the right person to develop a strong and differentiated identity for the Faculty.� Nominations and applications are invited for Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration. The appointment is for a five-year term effective July 1, 2011 and is subject to renewal.
The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) is the flagship business school in New Brunswick and one of the leading business schools in Atlantic Canada. Its mission is to provide comprehensive business education to its students and to contribute significantly to business growth and wealth creation in the Province and the region through its teaching, research, and interaction with business.� The Faculty currently has 1,000 full and part-time undergraduate students and 85 candidates in the MBA programs.� Specializations are offered in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, and Marketing, as well as concentrations in Aviation and Operations Management and in Entrepreneurship.�The Faculty has an active and diverse research milieu and is home to the Centre for Financial Studies and the BMO International Business and Entrepreneurship Centre.� It runs innovative student programs such as the Student Investment Fund and Activator Programs.� The Faculty is a multinational supplier of business education.� Through partnership agreements, the BBA degree programs are offered in Trinidad and Tobago, Egypt, and Singapore, and the MBA degree program is delivered in Ukraine.
Reporting to the Vice President Fredericton (Academic), the Dean will provide vision and leadership using strong business connections to position the Faculty for the future.� The Dean will foster collegial, productive relationships within the Faculty and broader University community. The Dean will actively develop relationships with business, professional organizations and alumni.� Candidates will have a proven track record of leadership, a strong research record and a demonstrated ability in academic and financial management.� Candidates should possess the qualifications to hold the rank of professor within the Faculty.� Successful business experience and familiarity with AACSB processes would be considered assets.
